SUTTER-TERLIZZI AMERICAN Post 16 SPRING – SUMMER 2026 NEWSLETTER
COMMANDER’S COMMENTS
We continue to look for volunteers to assist with our day-to-day operations and special events. Volunteers are the driving force behind the success of everything we do at the Post. Thanks very much to all our volunteer cooks, bartenders, carpenters, plumbers, electricians, painters, general maintenance, staff officers, skilled renovators of our historical memorabilia, event organizers, Rifle Squad, Color Guard, food servers, and those who place flags at local cemeteries before Memorial Day. If you’d like to get involved and volunteer at the Post, just contact me or the Adjutant.
As you know, we currently have three bartenders who offer their time to the Post to keep the Canteen open 7 days a week. They do a great job for us every single day! Issues arise at times when a bartender cannot be at the Canteen due to prior commitment, personal reasons, health issues, etc. When this occurs, the Canteen is closed unless one of the other bartenders can cover. We would like to add more bartenders to this roster. If you would like to volunteer as a bartender, please let me or the Adjutant know. We can use volunteers for many things at the Post, but if anyone would like to volunteer to cook, please let us know. We have a limited number of cooks for our Saturday lunches and events, so we’d like to build upon our cooking staff roster.
Our Saturday lunches have been going well. We try to offer a different lunch every Saturday for a minimal cost. Many thanks to our cooks, bartenders, and servers who volunteer their time to make these lunches a success. If you would like to volunteer to assist as a cook or food server at our Saturday lunches, please let us know. Give it a try, you’ll probably have a good time.
As you will read further in the Newsletter Calendar Section, there are many events scheduled at the Post and in the 3rd District. You are all welcome and I encourage you all to attend if you have the chance.

Post 16 Honor Guard
The Post 16 Color Guard and Rifle Squad continue to represent the American Legion honorably at events, ceremonies, and parades in Shelton and upon request, at surrounding towns. The members of the Color Guard and Rifle Squad are all getting older. These members have been involved for years because there is a great deal of pride in carrying and presenting our National and Post colors and firing at selected events and parades. In 2025 the Post 16 Honor Guard combined with the VFW Post 10059 Honor Guard to support requests for Honor Guards in the community. Many, many thanks to the VFW Post 10059 leadership, Commander Graham Bisset and Quartermaster John DiGiacomo for their assistance with Honor Guard ceremonies.
A warm welcome to Allan Wood and Mary Harris who have volunteered to serve on our Honor Guard.
In this regard, we are always seeking new members to represent the American Legion at both public ceremonies, events, and our own Post ceremonies. If anyone is interested in joining the Color Guard or the Rifle Squad, please contact the Post Adjutant. We really need some new members.
IN MEMORIUM
Joseph Scavone, Leo Pray, Richard Pisani, John Dougherty, and Leo Beaudry have transferred to Post Everlasting.
HOUSE
- New millings were delivered to the Post for the parking lot. These have been spread in the parking lot and will assist in leveling the surface of the lot.
- A Scout from Troop 25 continues to work on his Eagle Project at Post 16. The concept for the project involves an upgrade of the outside burn pit area that is utilized for our Flag Retirement ceremonies. Once completed, the stone face and landscaping around this area will look wonderful. We’ll keep everyone posted on the project as it progresses
POST ACTIVITIES
Post 16 Website
John Simonetti and Mike Kellett continue to add valuable information to the website. John and Mike do a great job in updating and maintaining the site. They have added a calendar to the site to keep members and non-members alike informed on scheduled events at the Post. The site is available not only for our members, but also for public viewing. Many, many thanks to John and Mike for their continued excellent efforts on the website, very much appreciated. Visit https://post16shelton.org and share it with anyone interested in learning about the Post.
GOOD OF THE LEGION
Here’s an article written by Post 16 member Jerry Ashton. Jerry transferred to our Post from Long Island. While in the service, he served as a journalist in the Navy. Jerry attended the National Commander’s visit to Post 16 on April 8th. Jerry is an active member of the End Veteran Debt organization. He wrote the news article below for that organization in their newsletter. Thanks for sharing your article with us Jerry!
National Commander’s Visit
The American Legion – A CT Veteran Oasis locally and Charity Powerhouse Nationally
Actually, it’s much bigger than one state. “The Legion,” as members call it, is a social engine for good that extends across America and spills over into Puerto Rico, Europe, Latin America, the South Pacific (Philippines), and the far East via South Korea and Japan.
It is, by far, the largest veterans’ organization in the U.S. and globally, with nearly 1.6 million members across more than 14,000 active posts.
While National Headquarters handles large-scale national programs and grants, the organization also operates through thousands of local posts that raise funds and make charitable donations within their communities.
To the good fortune of Shelton, CT’s American Legion Post 16, on April 8, they were able to host the Legion’s National Commander, Dan Wiley, for lunch, hosted by Post Commander Dave Gallagher’s staff and members. Also attending were State Department Commander Mike Kellett and National Executive Committeeman Robert Murray.
This was a special occasion for Shelton. Out of 130 Posts in Connecticut Shelton was one of only a half-dozen the National Commander chose to visit.
Thinking globally and acting locally
The lunch event clearly represented what keeps the Legion’s camaraderie, enthusiasm, and effectiveness alive for over 100 years since its founding in 1919. (Notably, the Legion is America’s only Congressionally chartered veteran organization.)
#1. It is mission-oriented. Every member is pledged to support veterans by supporting wounded warriors and advocating for VA healthcare, standing for a strong national defense, promoting patriotism and civic duty, and supporting youth and families in need.
#2. Buddy checks. This is a national outreach program in which Legionnaires call, text, write, or visit fellow veterans to check in on their health and well-being, reduce isolation, and connect veterans to services.
#3. Reducing suicide. Veteran and military suicide rates are twice that of civilians, and the Legion has devoted a focused “Be The One” campaign to save the lives of at-risk veterans.
#4. Charity. Both through their posts and supporting local charity work outside of the veteran community, members are highly regarded for their donations and volunteer work. Nationally, the Legion has raised and donated millions of dollars over the years.
A microcosm of the macrocosm
This lunch was essentially a “family affair,” and it showed. The lunch seemed to come right out of a military kitchen, complete with food prepared by a Navy cook and a chow line. In addition to a few prepared remarks by Commander Wiley, there was a lot of banter and side conversation.
The National Commander spoke of two things that were special to him: the importance of local posts in making buddy checks and making Be The One a conscious practice at the hometown level.
The visit ended with Commander Wiley being given two gifts: a wiffle ball and bat, and a 22-caliber Charter Arms revolver, both manufactured within Shelton’s city limits.
You just can’t get more American than that.
CHILDREN AND YOUTH ACTIVITIES
Boys State
Boys State will take place this year from June 27th through July 2nd at the University of New Haven. This year we will be able to send 10 boys from Shelton High School to this excellent program.
State Police Youth Week
Connecticut State Police Youth Week will take place in the summer from August 2nd through August 8th at the State Police Training Academy in Meriden. We are working with Shelton High School to identify students who may be interested in attending the program.
Scouting Updates
Scout Troop 25 and Cub Scout Pack 25 continue to be sponsored by Post 16. We are very excited to be able to work with the Scouts. They also help us in policing and weeding the Post 16 grounds. They’re a great group of young people, led by great Scout leaders. We are very happy to sponsor both groups.
25 has had two scouts earn their Eagle Rank over the past few months. Congrats to Timothy Andrade and Jason DeAndrade.
The troop has gotten bigger with 8 scouts crossing over from Cub Scouts. They had their first camp out at the Post 16 campsite.
Scouts from Troop 25 went to West Point and afterwards attended the Spring Camporee.
Members of Troop 25 and Pack 25 marched in the Shelton-Derby Memorial Day Parade.
Members of Troop 25 are preparing to go on a white-water rafting. They are also getting prepared for Summer Camp and some Scouts will be attending the 2026 National Jamboree in West Virginia.
Here are some more activities the Scouts have been recently involved in…
Pack 25 had a fine night of bowling at the Sports Center along with the scouts receiving their ranks with the sand ceremony. Next month we are looking forward to an open Pack Meeting with the scouts shooting off rockets.
The Scouts would like to remind our Legion Family that they run their bottles and cans drive on the first Saturday of every month. The drive is held at the Methodist Church on Long Hill Avenue from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Here are some great photos of some of the events that the Scouts have been involved with over the past few months…
COMMANDER’S CORNER
As I have stated many times in the Post and in previous Newsletters, the activities and events at the Post are supported by volunteers. It’s all of you who volunteer that allows our Post to successfully support events and programs, not only at the Post, but also in our community. If you compare our total membership of approximately 330 Legionnaires at the Post, not including the numbers of Squadron 16 and Auxiliary Unit 16 members, we get things done with pretty much a mere handful of volunteers.
Just a few thoughts on some events this year…
- We will be having a picnic style event for everyone this year to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of America. It’s being planned for Saturday, August 8th. We have a committee of folks to plan this event. It’s going to be a great time so save the date and join us with your families and friends. We’ll keep everyone informed with all the details as the date gets closer.
- As you may know, the Honor Guard marched in the Shelton-Derby Memorial Day Parade this year. I’d like to take a moment to recognize one of our longtime Post 16 members, John Anglace. John is a Korean War vet and assisted during the parade in the throwing of the wreath off the bridge. Nice job John!
ADJUTANT’S CORNER
Activities & Events Calendar
Please take a few minutes to review our calendar at the end of this Newsletter for information on upcoming activities, events, and meetings. We do not anticipate changes to the calendar schedule, but if there are any changes, I will contact everyone via e-mail.
Color Guard & Rifle Squad
As was mentioned in our Americanism section, the Post Color Guard and Rifle Squad are seeking volunteers. We support many public events in Shelton, Derby, and other towns in the area. Not all Posts have a Color Guard or a Rifle Squad, so in this regard Post 16 is very fortunate to have this group that supports different events and local parades. Consider volunteering to be a member of this group.
Blood Drive Info
Many thanks to our Sergeant-at-Arms, Phil Norris, who continues to coordinate blood drives at the Post with the Red Cross. Also, thanks much to all the volunteers who have assisted Phil with our past blood drives. Your assistance in setting up for a blood drive, assisting during the drive, and/or breaking down everything after the drive are very much appreciated. And of course, many thanks to all the donors who show up to give blood. Our most recent blood drive was on April 17th. The next blood drive is scheduled for Friday, July 17th, 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Post. Thanks for your continued help on this Phil!
Food For Thought
Without our volunteers we would be in a very difficult position to have the events and to continue to sponsor the programs that we do. I would offer that if you are not volunteering to assist in the operations of the Post, then please don’t provide criticisms regarding what is being done. As Commander Dave mentioned at the beginning of the Newsletter, we are looking for more bartenders and cooks to assist our daily Canteen operations, Saturday lunches, and events. If you’re interested in volunteering to help with these or anything else, let me know.
In May we placed American flags at the gravestones of Veterans at local cemeteries in Shelton. Thanks to all the volunteers who helped in this effort.
The Department Convention will be held July 10 – 12 at the Trumbull Marriott. Please contact me if you are interested in attending.
If you have an idea for a new activity or project at the Post or in the community, let us know. We always want to hear about new ideas.
If you are aware of members of our Legion Family who have e-mail addresses, but are not receiving my e-mails, please encourage them to give me their e-mail addresses. I’m a believer that communication is very important on many levels, be it through flyers, conversations, or e-mails. I try to stay in touch with everyone with information regarding the Post, or from the 3rd District, and from the Department. If your e-mail address has changed, let me know and I’ll be happy to make the change to my database.

We’re in the process of planning our next picnic/outing. We’ll be in touch with everyone when we come up with a date. This year the theme will be patriotic to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States.
Several of us attended the Department Convention back in July. During the convention, Auxiliary Unit 16 was awarded 1st place for membership.
There is a box in the Canteen for donation items to support the Homeless Women Veterans organization at the Madaras Home. This organization is part of the Homes for the Brave organization. Some suggestions for donations are socks, nail polish, toiletries, coloring books, crayons and games for kids.
We’re discussing the possibility of having breakfast at the Post on the last Sunday of every month, possibly starting in March. We’ll send out more information to everyone as we discuss this further.
Auxiliary Unit 16 will be working with the Shelton-Derby Rotary Club on June 14th to set up the American flags for the “Flags for Heroes” ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park in Shelton.
When the weather starts to warm up, we’re looking at organizing a Scavenger Hunt and a food and clothing drive. More to follow as we closer to Spring.
As in past years, the Auxiliary will be handing out Poppies at local stores in May.
We are discussing establishing Buddy Checks for the Auxiliary members. We’ll keep everyone posted on this worthwhile endeavor.
PRESIDENTIAL NICHE
The Auxiliary would like to thank our members for allowing us the opportunity to help and support our Veterans. Without your membership dues, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do for them. So, thank you all for your payments and for all that you do for our organization. Thanks very much!

SUTTER-TERLIZZI AMERICAN LEGION POST 16
Newsletter Summer – Fall 2025
COMMANDER’S COMMENTS
Our Post 16 Saturday lunches and other Post activities continue to go extremely well. Our volunteer staff does a great job putting together our Saturday menus. Many thanks to these folks for their above and beyond efforts to accomplish this. Our Adjutant sends out e-mails to everyone with the Saturday menu for that week. If you haven’t come down to the Post for these Saturday meals, you should make a point to do so, they’re really good. We vary these menus every week and we try to keep the prices as reasonable as possible. These meals, just to name a few, have featured hamburgers, hot dogs, spare ribs, lobster rolls, roast beef, turkey, porchetta, sausage, and very good sides to go along with these sandwiches. And by the way, we have a great bar menu as well that’s always available seven days a week. As you will read further in the Newsletter, there are additional events scheduled at the Post and in the 3rd District.

These members have been involved for years because there is a great deal of pride in carrying and presenting our National and Post colors and firing at selected events.
In this regard, we are always seeking new members to represent the American Legion at both public ceremonies, events, and our own Post ceremonies. If anyone is interested in joining the Color Guard or the Rifle Squad, please contact the Post Adjutant. We really need some new members.

GOOD OF THE LEGION
Here’s some good information from longtime Post 16 member and Department Senior Vice Commander Mike Kellett…

The American Legion’s Grassroots Action Center is a platform for connecting American Legion members and advocates with their members of Congress on Legion legislative issues. The Grassroots Action Center allows The American Legion to contact every member of Congress on large, national campaigns as well as target specific members on key committees that pertain to The American Legion’s legislative priorities. American Legion National Website
Just as a reminder, the American Legion National Website can be accessed at www.legion.org/contact This site has a lot of interesting items and some very good information concerning American Legion training and programs that are offered. Once you access the site you may find it interesting to go into the Basic Training Program at www.legion.org/training which is an online self-paced training program that provides very good information on the mission, services, and programs provided to veterans and the community by the American Legion.
Buddy Checks
We are in need of comrades to conduct Buddy Checks. Looking out for our comrades is a very important part of who we are. At its core, The American Legion is an organization by, for, and about veterans of our United States …. Veterans and their families need to know they are not alone. They may be isolated from society due to health issues or other conditions. They may be struggling with disability, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, inclement weather or simple loneliness. A job may have been lost. A loved one may have recently passed. It could just be they simply need to hear a friendly voice on the phone or a knock at the door.
Buddy Checks are not membership or fundraising calls; they are simple check-ins with veterans in the community to see how they are doing and to learn if the local post can help with anything.
While Buddy Checks can be conducted year round, American Legion Posts are strongly encouraged to make Buddy Check calls during July and August during the dog days of summer as well as from Veterans Day through the Holidays. These times, especially the holidays, can be difficult for many of us and a call from a buddy is a sure pick-me-up.
Many American Legion posts have assembled Buddy Check teams that make calls monthly or even more frequently.
Buddy Check teams are urged to have at their fingertips a list of local resources available if needed. These may be American Legion service officers, Vet Centers, VA health-care facilities, or others who can help Veterans may be reminded of the 988 Crisis Line in case they know of someone who needs urgent assistance, or if they need it themselves. There are several resources available at legion.org and through the Department of Connecticut Membership, Leadership and Learning Commission.
Post 16 Members interested in helping to conduct Buddy Checks should contact Mike Kellett via email at
CHILDREN AND YOUTH ACTIVITIES
Boys State
Boys State will be taking place from June 28th to July 3rd this year at the University of New Haven. We are sending 10 boys this year from Shelton High School to this excellent program.
State Police Youth Week
Connecticut State Police Youth Week will take place from July 27th thru August 2nd at the State Police Training Academy in Meriden. Last year we sent one student from Shelton High School to this program and he had a great time. We will be sending two students to the program this year.
Scouting Updates
As you know, Scout Troop 25 and Cub Scout Pack 25 are now sponsored by Post 16. We are very excited to be able to work with the Scouts. They actively participate in our Flag Retirement ceremony. They also help us in policing the grounds and in weeding our grounds. They’re a great group and we very happy to sponsor both groups.
Here are some more activities the Scouts have been recently involved in…
In April the Scouts went to the West Point Camporee. Thousands of Scouts were in attendance from as far away Ohio. The Scouts experience included a climb to the peak of Bull Hill. There was also a surprise snow storm which wasn’t on the schedule of planned events.
The Scouts also provided their services at Nicholdale Farm to clear a number of fallen trees from their open space areas. After their work the Scouts camped in their campsite.
Troop 25 and Cub Scout Pack 25 marched in the Memorial Day Parade.
A few Eagle Scout candidates are currently working on their projects.
Looking forward the Scouts have planned a summer camp near Boston, walk the Freedom Trail, and visit Salem.
The Scouts collect cans and bottles on the first Saturday of every month at the Methodist Church on Long Hill Avenue in Shelton.
COMMANDER’S CORNER
Volunteers Always Welcome & Needed
As I have stated many times at the Post and in previous Newsletters, the activities and events at the Post are supported by volunteers. Volunteerism has always been of vital importance to the American Legion and continues to be critical to Post 16 as we are a nonprofit organization. It’s our volunteers that allow our Post to successfully support events and programs, not only at the Post, but also in our community. If you compare our total membership of approximately 360 Legionnaires at the Post, not including the number of Squadron 16 and Auxiliary Unit 16 members, we get things done with pretty much a mere handful of volunteers. For example, the bartending, cooking, grass mowing, snow shoveling, general upkeep/repair work, and Post renovations and upkeep are all accomplished for the most part by volunteers. Volunteering has never been required, nor will it be required from any of our Legion Family members. But having said that, please consider volunteering to assist the Post with activities, events, and projects. Our success depends entirely on active membership, participation, and volunteerism. Consider volunteering, you’ll probably have a good time and find it very fulfilling. The more hands that get involved, helps to make the tasks much less daunting.
ADJUTANT’S CORNER
Activities & Events Calendar
Please take a few minutes to review our calendar at the end of this Newsletter for upcoming activities, events, and meetings which cover the remainder of the Summer into the Fall.
Not all Posts have a Color Guard or a Rifle Squad, so in this regard Post 16 is very fortunate to have this group to support different events and parades. Consider volunteering to be a member of this group.
Blood Drive Coordinator
In the last Newsletter a request was made for a Blood Drive Coordinator. I offer many thanks to Phil Norris for stepping up and taking on this task. Thanks Phil!
Food For Thought
Without our volunteers we would be in a very difficult position to have the events and sponsor the programs that we do. I offer many, many thanks to all of our volunteers who regularly step up at our Post to make things happen. From cooking, to bartending, to placing flags at local cemeteries, to participating in the Color Guard and Rifle Squad, to renovating donated military memorabilia, to making repairs at the Post, to cleaning and sanitizing, or to providing support at our different events…….All of these are supported by our volunteers. Thank you all very much for all that you do.
I would also like to offer that a number of Perkin Elmer in Shelton have volunteered their services when we place flags at local cemeteries. Over the past few years Perkin Elmer employees have showed up with weed-wackers, shovels, and rakes to clean the footstones of Veterans as it isn’t uncommon for the footstones to be overgrown and difficult to read. The Perkin Elmer employees wanted to offer their support in this regard, not because I asked them. A couple of years ago while placing flags at the cemeteries they saw the poor condition of a number of the footstones. After that year they now show up at the cemeteries fully equipped to clean the footstones. In addition, Perkin Elmer has been very generous by donating to Boys State.
I would offer to all of you that everyone has thoughts or ideas for new events or projects at the Post. Please feel free to bring these new ideas to our attention. We are always open to new ideas and thoughts to improve our operations.
Department Service Officer, K. Robert Lewis will be at Post 16 on Saturday, August 9th, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. K. Robert will be conducting training for Post Service Officers, but any Legionnaires interested in attending the training session are welcome.
Please pay your dues if you have not already done so. Contacting members can be challenging and takes a considerable degree of time and effort to accomplish. If this pertains to you, I would encourage you to pay your dues and save us the time and expense involved in trying to contact you. Take a look at the Membership section above for the different methods available to renew your membership. If on the other hand you have paid your dues and are aware of members who have not paid, please contact them and encourage them to pay their dues.

HOUSE
- As was reported in the last Newsletter, the Post sustained some significant damage to the upstairs kitchen area as a result of the strong storm that came through Shelton, Huntington, Trumbull, and Monroe in early August. We are happy to report that the roof has been repaired. The replacement of the floor has been completed. And finally the interior ceiling and lighting have been replaced.
- Many thanks to Boo Kaneen, Sergeant-at-Arms for Squadron 16, for his excellent and precise work in restoring and refinishing an air-to-surface missile mockup and a torpedo mockup. These were given to the Post by the Connecticut Air & Space Center in Stratford. Once these mockups were transported to the Post, Boo set to work on their restoration. He did a wonderful job. The torpedo is on display outside the Canteen and the missile is inside the Canteen.

Blood Drives at Post 16
The American Legion Blood Donor Program has existed officially since 1942 to help that cause. Each year – especially since 9/11 – Legionnaires have donated in spades, and departments have coordinated efforts at the Post level. A healthy donor may donate red blood cells every 56 days or double red blood cells every 112 days, according to the Red Cross. Platelets can be donated as few as seven days apart but a maximum of 24 times a year. Platelets are essential for patients who are undergoing chemotherapy or kidney transplants and have weakened immune systems. Donors are given a brief health screening prior to giving blood. The results of it are always kept confidential. Often, lingering health problems such as irregular heartbeats or high blood pressure are discovered during these required screenings.
People have held Blood Drives and given blood since community service became an American value. It’s only natural that The American Legion – with community service as one of its pillars – be heavily involved in blood donation efforts. As Blood Drives are scheduled in 2025, these will be announced at our monthly Post meetings. E-mails will also be sent out to everyone to announce these dates.

Boys State
Boys State took place in June of this year at the University of New Haven. We were able to send 6 boys this year from Shelton High School. In 2025 the University of New Haven will once again be hosting Boys State, probably in the June timeframe again.
State Police Youth Week
Connecticut State Police Youth Week took place in August of this year at the State Police Training Academy in Meriden. The Post sent one student this year from Shelton High School. We are hopeful that in 2025 we be able to send another student from Shelton High School to this program.
Oratorical Competition
The Oratorical Competition will be taking place sometime in January 2025 at Shelton High School. We are working with Shelton High School to determine an exact date.
Scouting Updates
Scout Troop 25 and Cub Scout Pack 25 are both now sponsored by Post 16. We are very excited to being able to work with the Scouts. They actively participated in our Flag Retirement ceremony that was held on Sunday, October 13th.

If you compare our total membership of approximately Legionnaires at the Post, not including the number of Squadron 16 and Auxiliary Unit 16 members, we get things done with pretty much a mere handful of volunteers. For example, the bartending, cooking, grass mowing, snow shoveling, general upkeep/repair work, and renovations are all accomplished for the most part by volunteers.

Activities & Events Calendar
Please take a few minutes to review our calendar at the end of this Newsletter for upcoming activities, events, and meetings which cover the remainder of the Fall, Winter, and the first quarter of 2025.
Not all Posts have a Color Guard or a Rifle Squad, so in this regard Post 16 is very fortunate to have this group to support different events and parades. Consider volunteering to be a member of this group.
Blood Drive Coordinator Needed
Starting in 2025 and into 2026, we will be in need of a coordinator to work with the Red Cross in the scheduling of Blood Drives at the Post.
Food For Thought
Without our volunteers we would be in a difficult position to have the events and sponsor the programs that we do. I offer many, many thanks to all of our volunteers who regularly step up at our Post to make things happen.
I would offer to all of you that everyone has thoughts or ideas for events or projects at the Post, please feel free to bring them to our attention. We are always open to new ideas and thoughts to improve our operations.
Please pay your dues if you have not already done so. Contacting members can be challenging and takes a degree of time and effort to accomplish. If this pertains to you, I would encourage you to pay your dues soon and save us the time and expense involved in trying to contact you. Take a look at the Membership section above for the different methods available to renew your membership. If on the other hand you have paid your dues and are aware of members who have not paid, please contact them and encourage them to pay their dues

OBSERVATIONS
All of our Squadron members contribute to the success of our Post. A portion of your yearly membership goes towards the Children Welfare Fund and veteran programs. Other Squadron volunteers support many of the activities needed to maintain the Post facilities and refreshments as well. The volunteers give of their time dedicated to the post physical operations, most recently the renovations in our Post kitchens. I commend them for giving of their time.
